Tuesady brings the annual Autism Aware Fare dining fundraiser at local restaurants. On Thursday, staff from JV Washam and Davidson elementary schools will square off in a charity basketball game. And the regular-season champion Davidson College women’s lacrosse team hosts the Big South conference lacrosse championship Friday through Sunday. This coming weekend also brings the annual Miles for Marnie road race, Davidson Farmer’s Market and the “Bark in the Park” dog festival at Rural Hill in Huntersville.

Cornelson Lecture, 8pm, Davidson College Chambers Building Lilly Family Gallery – The annual Cornelson Distinguished Lecture in Economics will be delivered this year by Daron Acemoglu of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Acemoglu won the John Bates Clark Medal in 2005 as the top economist under age 40, and has been named to Foreign Policy magazine’s 100 Global Thinkers for 2012.
