If you’re like me, you’re still trying to adjust to the time change. I’m sorry, folks, the extra hour of daylight in the evening has done little to appease my morning grouch. I know it’s really 5am even though the clock says 6am. Waking up this week has been hard and I’m convinced the disruption to the circadian rhythm is responsible for every bit of my bad behavior.

My pick this week is the Charlotte Roller Girls match up against Cape Fear of Wilmington in their season home opener Saturday at the Grady Cole Center Uptown.

If ever there was a time I wanted to adopt a fierce moniker and instill fear in others with skates it’s now. But that would be impossible for a number of reasons, not the least of which includes the fact that I lack muscle tone and don’t like to hit or be hit. Fortunately for me there are others who do, and they are wildly entertaining at it.

If you’ve never been you’re in for a treat. With names like Mugger Teresa and Drew FearMEmore, what’s not to love?

Tickets increase the day of the event so you’re better off purchasing in advance. You should also note that parking costs $5. All in all, however, it’s a relatively inexpensive way to work out some kinks with Daylight Savings Time.
