History talk: Murder on South Street, 3pm, Summit Coffee, 128 S. Main St., Davidson – Davidson Historical Society presents “Murder on South Street,” with DavidsonNews.net editor David Boraks. The 1-hour program will recount the happenings of February 1914, when Mecklenburg County citizens were shocked at news of a murder on South Street in Davidson. Monroe Jetton, the town druggist, was accused of shooting his friend, Dr. W.H. We’ll tell the story and talk about the buildings in town connected to the case, all of which remain. $5.
