Davidson College’s Asian Cultural Awareness Association welcomes the Year of the Snake this Saturday evening, Feb. 2, with a Lunar New Year party and fireworks.
The party runs from 5-8pm at the Alvarez College Union atrium, with food, games, and performances of Asian traditional arts. Then at 8pm, the crowd moves to the Chambers Building lawn for the annual fireworks display.

This year’s actual Lunar New Year is Saturday, Feb. 10. In Asian countries from China to Vietnam to Malaysia, it’s the most important holiday of the year.
