Our Town Cinemas in Davidson plans a “Zombie Walk” through town on Saturday, Feb. 2, to help promote the new film “Warm Bodies,” which opens Friday, Feb. 1. The walk begins at noon, and includes a collection for local food banks.
The Zombie Walk will follow a route from Our Town Cinemas, in Sadler Square off Griffith Street, onto the Davidson College campus then down Main Street to South Main Square. It wraps up at Davidson Beverage Co., a specialty beer shop that the cinema says “would be a great spot for the after party. It’s also near other eateries, including Fuel Pizza and Carrburritos.
Zombie walkers should dress in costume and makeup “as a zombie and only as a zombie,” the cinema says. Fake blood OK! Walkers are asked to bring at least two non-perishable food items. In exchange, you’ll get a free pass for a movie at Our Town Cinemas.

‘WARM BODIES’
“Warm Bodies” opens Feb. 1 at Our Town Cinemas. It’s described as “a funny new twist on a classic love story. … After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human – setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.”

That Warm Bodies movie is going to get people killed. The only good zombie is a dead zombie!
LOL … Watch out for Mr. Sanders on the Zombie Walk – he’ll be the guy hunting zombies!
