‘Smell of the Kill’ at Warehouse, ReadDavidson begins

this week buttonThe Warehouse Performing Arts Center in Cornelius presents the play “The Smell of the Kill” by Michele Lowe, opening on Thursday, Sept. 20, and running to Oct. 6. The townwide  ReadDavidson kicks off its fall 2012 season on Friday with a live webcast with Ann Patchett, the author of this year’s book, “State of Wonder.” In Charlotte, the 48th anniversary Festival in the Park this weekend features food, live music, artists’ booths and kids’ activities. On Saturday, there is the Lake Norman Beer Fest and the Oyster and Shrimp Fest.

Meanwhile, Our Town Cinemas in Davidson has “Beasts of the Southern Wild,” “Last Ounce of Courage” and “2016: Obama’s America” on the schedule. See the movie showtimes at right.
