Take a happy hour history walk downtown on Friday

Here’s an idea for Friday afternoon, when the work week will be over and Saturday’s Town Day will still lie ahead: Davidson Historical Society will host a happy hour history walk downtown at 4 p.m., Friday, May 4. Come learn a little bit about the history of some of the old and new buildings along Main Street, then join the crowd for a libation at Summit Coffee.
Meet on the steps of Davidson library. David Boraks, historical society member and editor of DavidsonNews.net, will lead the 30 to 40-minute tour. We’ll wind up back at Summit Coffee, 128 S. Main St., here we’ll have copies of the new history “One Town Many Voices,” [2] by Jan Blodgett and Ralph Levering.
