Hey, it’s the first week of 2012 — gotten over celebrating the New Year yet? GOOD! (Oops … for those of you still nursing a headache — my bad on shouting). Now that the holidays are over, the kids are back in school and you’re back at work, there’s also plenty going on during the week in Davidson and the surrounding area to keep you entertained.
If you’ve got some free time during the week or on Saturday, swing by the Cornelius Arts Center to view works by the center’s instructors. Like something you see? Most everything on display is also on sale.
In the mood for basketball? Davidson College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams both play their first home games of 2012 this week. The Wildcats women host Elon at Belk Arena on Wednesday night, while Davidson’s men host Georgia Southern on Saturday afternoon.
These events — and more below — are in our day-by-day calendar at right. Also, at right on this page, see our movie show times listings for Our Town Cinemas.
