Volunteers are still being sought for the 25th-annual Big Sweep, which begins Saturday morning at points along the shores — and even the islands — of Lake Norman. Come help keep North Carolina’s largest body of water — and the source of the region’s drinking water — clean.
Still need your sports fix? Hough High School’s football team plays nearby rival North Mecklenburg on Friday night, Davidson College’s women’s soccer team hosts Elon at Richardson Stadium on Friday night, and the Wildcats’ men’s tennis team hosts the Jeff Frank Invitational tournament all day Friday and Saturday.
