The Rev. Amy Brooks and members of the Unitarian Universalism Fellowship of Lake Norman will host classes for people who are new to the Fellowship or new to the Unitarian Universalism faith.
The classes are an opportunity to learn more about the Fellowship, its history and its congregation, and newcomers are encouraged to ask questions.
From Rev. Brooks:
Unitarian Universalism is part of a liberal religious tradition that welcomes theologically questioning and stresses equality and justice. Historically Unitarians held the belief that there is one God, hence the name ‘Unitarian.’ Similarly, ‘Universalism’ comes from the belief in universal salvation for all people. Today UUs embrace a diversity of beliefs but continue to join with people of all faiths in the quest for a more just and peaceful world.
Classes are planned as follows:
Sunday, June 19, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Woodlawn School, 135 Woodlawn School Loop, Mooresville, N.C.

Wednesday, July 13, 7:30-8:30 p.m., location TBA
