People gathered on the green to chat, visit artists' booths and listen to music Saturday at the 2011 Art on the Green. (David Boraks/DavidsonNews.net)

Hundreds of people came to the Davidson Village Green Saturday for the first day of the two-day Art on the Green festival, a juried arts & crafts show with music and food. The event continues Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. and is followed at 6 p.m. by the season’s first Concert on the Green.
