‘Masterpiece’ opens; music, poetry and more

davidson weekend calendarDavidson Community Players’ production of “Masterpiece” takes the stage this weekend. At Davidson College, the Wildcat baseball team will be playing three games against Furman. North Carolina’s Poet Laureate Cathy Smith Bowers speaking at the Charlotte Writer’s Club’s March meeting on Thursday. There’s a business expo that will showcase Lake Norman businesses, nonprofits and attractions all day Friday, and Davidson library has preschool and toddler story times on Friday as well.

On Saturday, there’s a Special Olympics interest meeting at Bailey Middle School for parents, athletes, coaches and volunteers interested in being involved. Sunday, Mt. Zion United Methodist Church hosts a solo piano concert featuring Katie Reimer.
