It’s a slow mid-summer week as everyone recovers from Fourth of July festivities. Dr. Mehmet Oz, a heart expert
of “The Dr. Oz Show” and “Oprah” fame, returns to Mooresville Wednesday to give a talk benefiting the HealthReach Community Clinic. Lawyers from the McIntosh Law Firm will give a free seminar Thursday at YMCA on “Real Estate – Buy, Sell or Rent?” Mooresville also has art show openings at The Depot and Artworks on Main Friday, and the Davidson Farmers’ Market will be open as usual on Saturday.

Independence Day Holiday – Public offices, banks, and post offices closed. Charlotte Area Transit system (CATS) will operate a Sunday schedule for light rail and buses (no express service).

Dr. Oz benefit talk, 1:30 p.m., Charles Mack Citizens Center, Mooresville – Healthreach Community Clinic is hosting Dr. Mehmet Oz, bestselling author and heart-health expert on “The Dr. Oz Show” and “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” All proceeds from his presentation will benefit the HealthReach Community Clinic. Seating is limited, so advance tickets are highly recommended and may be obtained by calling 704-230-2380. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door. Guests donating $200 or more per ticket to the clinic will receive preferred seating and be treated to a private reception with Dr. Oz.
