Paul Farmer paintings: edgy and organic

You just never know where you’ll find great art. At a recent Zumba class at Katifit, in the Oak Street Mill in Cornelius, I was impressed with both the enthusiastic workout and the studio’s architecture and paintings. I learned that the paintings are by Paul Farmer, the brother of Kadifit owner, Katie Dixon.
Paul is a painter from Cornelius. He’s a graduate of both the Governor’s School of the Arts and N.C. State School of Design. His paintings are organic in an edgy-tattoo way. There is a certain movement to them. They would look perfect in a loft at South Main Square. Paul’s paintings will be featured at the upcoming Art Crawl/”Wine to Water” event on June 25, 6 p.m., at Kadi Fit, in the Oak Street Mill, 19725 Oak St., Cornelius. (That event is a fund-raiser for “Wine to Water,” a charity that provides clean water to needy people around the world.
