Memorial Day – Schools, offices, banks and most businesses are closed for the day. Charlotte Area Transit system bus routes and the LYNX Blue Line operate on a Sunday service schedule in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. Express bus services will not operate.

Concord Road resurfacing begins, all day, Concord Road from Main Street east to Kimberly Road – NC DOT begins a major street resurfacing project. Watch for traffic changes. See our May 27 news item for details.

Methodist Day of Service, 7:30 a.m. – All Methodist churches in the Lake Norman District will gather for a day of service to our community on Saturday, June 5. Volunteers are asked to meet at either Huntersville or Broad Street United Methodist Church at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast and sending forth.
