Budget meeting, fashion show, Concert on the Green

this week logoDavidson College students have left town and that means a shift into summertime mode in and around Davidson. But there are still some important – and fun – events on the calendar. Davidson’s Town Board gets its first formal look at a proposed budget for the 2010-11 fiscal year Tuesday. There’s a big charity fashion show called “Catwalk for a Cause” Tuesday night at River Run. The Davidson Farmers Market runs Saturday morning downtown, and the next Concert on the Green is Sunday evening with Band of Oz.

Also, join us Friday night at Summit Coffee on Main Street for a performance by Davidson Local. The local band, led by songwriter John Wertheimer, will donate the proceeds of Friday’s event to DavidsonNews.net.
