The Town of Davidson host the annual Town Day spring festival on Saturday, May 1, from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. on the Village Green, Main Street and Concord Road. The day begins with the Day Care Dash, a 5K road race and fun run to benefit Davidson Cornelius Day Care. It continues all day with carnival games, food, arts and entertainment, music and booths on Main Street.

A variety of professional and local talent will be appearing throughout the day on the main stage located at the Davidson Public Library. Local vendors will offer a variety of food and a wide range of items for sale.
5K REGISTRATION
Packet pickup for the 5k race is available Friday night, 5:30 to 7 p.m., at Davidson Elementary School on South Street, where they’ll also be hosting the annual pre-race Pasta Night. Registration and packet pickup will be available on race day from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m.

STREET CLOSINGS
Downtown streets will be closed from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. to accommodate the vendors and large crowds. Streets will be closed at Main Street between Concord Rd. and Chairman Blake and Lorimer between Concord Rd. and CVS parking lot.
