Davidson Weekend Calendar [1]Another great Davidson weekend lies ahead, with the return of the weekly Davidson Farmers Market Saturday morning and Town Day 5k and festivities on the Village Green all day Saturday. Our Town Cinemas in Sadler Square is getting into the act, adding big-screen showings of “Casablanca” and “The Wizard of Oz” to its lineup beginning Friday.

It’s also a busy weekend for fund-raisers, music and theater in and around Davidson. On the stage, Davidsonian Louise Robertson directs a production of Athol Fugard’s “The Road to Mecca” that opens Friday at Warehouse Performing Arts Center in Cornelius. And Davidson College students stage a pair of one-act plays Thursday and Friday: “Drop” by Dana Madden and “A Strange Kind of Romance” by Tennessee Williams.

Those events and more below, and in our clickable day-by-day calendar at right.
