It’s a busy week for public meetings, fund-raisers, music and theater in and around Davidson. Davidson College’s Concert Choir sings a concert called “For Those We Love” Monday night, in honor of our nation’s military men and women.
Saturday brings a pair of big downtown events: the Davidson Farmers’ Market’s season-opening sale day, and Davidson Town Day on the Village Green Saturday, with the Day Care Dash 5K run to benefit Davidson Cornelius Day Care.
On the stage, Davidsonian Louise Robertson directs a production of Athol Fugard’s “The Road to Mecca” that opens Friday at Warehouse Performing Arts Center in Cornelius. And Davidson College students stage a pair of one-act plays Thursday and Friday: “Drop” by Dana Madden and “A Strange Kind of Romance” by Tennessee Williams. Those events and more below, and in our clickable day-by-day calendar at right.
