AKON, PLUS SCHWAYZE AND DJ FEZ
Akon is best known for his work ethic and desire to entertain crowds around the world. He is the only artist to have songs featured at #1 and #2 on the Billboard charts twice. His most recent album, “Freedom,” features smash hits “Right Now” and “Beautfiul.”
Opening acts will be Shwayze and Davidson’s own DJ Fez. Shwayze signed to Geffen Records in 2007 and his self-titled debut album was released the following year, preceded by the single “Don’t Be Shy” and followed by a stint on the 2008 Vans Warped Tour. A year later they returned with the electro-influenced album Let It Beat along with the single “Get U Home.”
Chris Fezza, better known as DJ Fez, is a senior at Davidson College who has performed at a variety of events on campus. His high-energy performances incorporate a variety of musical genres including house music and mashups of many of today’s popular samples.
