A trip to pottery studios in Seagrove, adult piano lessons, and fitness classes that range from belly dancing to Pilates are on the March calendar of programs organized by Davidson Parks & Recreation.

Davidson Parks and Recreation department is pleased to announce the following programs for March 2010. Pre-registration is required. Seagrove Pottery
Seagrove- Join us on a trip to visit one of the largest communities of potters with the longest continual history of pottery making in the U.S. There are more than 100 potters who offer pottery and ceramic art. We will stop for lunch and shop a variety of potters in the area. Please let us know if there is a particular artist you are interesting in seeing on the trip.

The Davidson Senior Scholars was formed to provide programs that stimulate continual intellectual and cultural growth. The general format of the meetings is that of lecture followed by question and answer. The speakers are experts in their fields and may include Davidson college professors, local physicians, and business professionals. Programs are free. Monthly meetings take place from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at the Parks and Recreation office.
