Tickets will go on sale March 11 for students and March 15 to the general public.
UPDATE: The date has been changed for this concert. It now will be held at 8 p.m. on May 1.
The Senegalese-American singer and record producer has sold more than 7 million albums, according to his official biography. His most recent album is titled “Freedom.”
He is the son of an acclaimed percussionist, Mor Thiam, and was raised in Senegal before moving to the U.S., and eventually Atlanta.
The concert will be 8 p.m. April 29 at Belk Arena. The evening also includes performances by Virgin Islands-born singer/rapper Keidran Jones, better known as Iyaz, and Davidson College’s DJ Fez (Chris Fezza ’10).
Tickets will be $20 for students, $25 for Davidson faculty and staff, and $30 for the general public. Student sales begin March 15, general public sales on March 15.
