A chamber music concert at Davidson College on Tuesday, Feb. 16, will bring together a trio of the area’s top classical musicians in a program that includes work by Brahms and Vaughan Williams as well as a piece called “Crossing Rivers IV,” created by music professor Jennifer Stasack and poet and English professor Alan Michael Parker. DavidsonNews.net caught the two collaborators at a recent rehearsal of the composition and text. We asked them to talk about the origins of the music and text and how they came to work together.

Tuesday’s chamber concert is at 7:30 p.m. in Tyler-Tallman Hall at Sloan Music Center at the college, off Concord Road. Admission is Free.
