Charlotte Teachers Institute presents a program for teachers: “Exploding Canons: Thinking Differently About Disease.” Davidson College and UNCC professors lead the following discussion topics: How Disease Shaped the Americas, HIV and Unexpected Immunities, Cultural Stereotypes and Pandemics, Perceptions of Disease and Disability and Effects and Diagnosis of Re-Disease in the Classroom.
