A series of public events are planned on the Davidson College campus Monday to mark the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birth,
including appearances by Charlotte Mayor and Davidson grad Anthony Foxx and former N.C. Chief Justice Henry Frye. Meanwhile, the Organ at Davidson series continues Tuesday with a performance by Jacqueline Yost. The local Toastmasters group hosts an open house on Wednesday.
This weekend brings the kids’ show “Annavel and the Funny Little Man: A Rumplestiltskin Tale” to the stage at Davidson College. And the Davidson Farmers Market is back with a Saturday tailgate market next to Town Hall. There’s a blood drive at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, and Saturday night brings the annual ICE Gala at the Peninsula Club, to raise money for Davidson’s Ada Jenkins Center.
