Basketball, theater and a holiday farmer’s market

WeekendCalThis weekend in Davidson will be quiet as the holidays approach, but not without a few high points. The men’s basketball team plays at home on Thursday night before heading to New York City to play Cornell on Sunday. Be sure to visit the Davidson Farmer’s Market on Saturday for baked goods and produce for your holiday festivities.

The Armour Street Theatre hosts three shows of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” on Saturday in a fund-raiser for Davidson-Cornelius Day Care,  while “It’s a Wonderful Life” continues there through Sunday. And if you’re looking for a true Christmas event, look no further than the Cornelius Presbyterian Church “Noel Celebration.”

On Friday, enjoy the music and beverages at Summit Coffee and make a donation to the family of Jorge Fiscal Cruz, the Davidson restaurant worker who was recently killed in a traffic accident.

Thursday also brings a blood drive at the Lowe’s YMCA in Mooresville.
