Senior Scholars topic Wed.: Our Town Cinemas

Davidson Senior Scholars will meet Wednesday, Dec. 9, for a presentation by Jan Black, marketing director of the new Our Town Cinemas [1]. The new movie theater is expected to open in the Sadler Square shopping center off Griffith Street in early 2010. The meeting begins at 2 p.m. in the Davidson Parks and Recreation office, 416 Armour St.
Ms. Black will talk about the theater’s programming, which will include first-run, as well as early, independent and foreign movies shown in four small screening rooms in a relaxed atmosphere, with food and beverage service.
Davidson Senior Scholars meet twice monthly at the Parks & Rec office for presentations about a wide range of topics. Details: 704-892-3349.
