The week ahead brings several government meetings, including the first meeting of a new term for Davidson’s Town Board Tuesday and a school board meeting Tuesday where, among other things, the board is being asked to rescind its previous decision to name
the new Bailey Road high school in Cornelius after the late North Mecklenburg High School principal W.A. Hough. On Wednesday, representatives from Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities will meet property owners at Cornelius Town Hall to discuss water bills and pricing.
Monday night at Belk Arena, Davidson College’s women’s basketball team opens its 2009-10 home schedule against Appalachian State. On Wednesday, Davidson author Carolyn Noell gives a reading at the Davidson library branch.
The Beggar Boys with former Davidson musician Kate Minogue play a pair of area concerts this weekend – Saturday in Mooresville and Sunday afternoon in the Music at St. Alban’s series. And “It’s a Wonderful Life” continues its run at Armour Street Theatre.
