Music, lectures, sports and a shop opening

weekendcalWe’ve got a tasty menu of activities in and around Davidson over the next few days, from a lecture by Iranian-American scholar Haleh Esfandiari to a Davidson men’s soccer game against South Carolina. The music lineup is interesting as well, with tunes at local cafes and restaurants and a Friday afternoon outdoor “Jam Thingy” by Davidson College’s symphony and jazz ensemble. On Sunday afternoon, the college hosts a classical Indian concert. And to cap the weekend, the season’s final Concert on the Green Sunday evening with Rusty Knox and other local musicians. Check out the full schedule below, as well as a list of what’s coming up in town next week.

If you’re downtown Saturday morning, stop by the grand opening of Davidson College’s Cats on Main souvenir and clothing shop. And don’t forget the Davidson Farmers Market from 8 to noon, next to Town Hall.

DavidsonNews.net’s calendars are updated continuously. Check back often during the week for additions and changes. And come back Monday when our This Week calendar gives you the scoop on the week ahead.
