This week’s calendar of events in and around Davidson includes a variety of summer events for kids at Davidson public library branch on the Village Green. On Saturday morning, there’s a “Think Pink” dog show fund-raiser for breast cancer research organized by 10-year-old Ally Miller. Then Saturday night, take in a free recital by Annie Rhodes and Jenny Giduz, two of the area’s most promising young sopranos, at Davidson College Presbyterian Church Lingle Chapel. There’s also a bloodmobile at St. Alban’s Epsicopal Church on Saturday morning, and on Sunday, a “Tastes for Habitat” fund-raiser by Our Towns Habitat Women Build.
