Community Chorus, music at Summit

It’s another weekend for music in and around Davidson. Summit Coffee proprietor Tim Helfrich says it’s “kind of a throwback weekend” at the Main Street coffee shop: All the musicians on the schedule “were a big part of the original Summit music scene in 2003.” Billy Jones, Josh Pender and The Pocket play Thursday, singer-songwriter Heidi Sidelinker plays Friday and the Rick Spreitzer Band plays Saturday. Also on Friday, Lake Norman Teen Council hosts its End of Year Bash. On Saturday and Sunday, North Mecklenburg Community Chorus performs at Duke Family Performance Hall at the college.

And don’t forget Saturday morning’s Davidson Farmer’s Market next to Town Hall – this week with an open Irish music session, led by Henry Lebedinsky.

Just a reminder: We update this calendar continuously as we receive new listings. And check back Monday, when we publish our THIS WEEK calendar, looking ahead at the week.
