Who is in your corner?

I’ve been thinking of the many times I’ve felt alone and sad and couldn’t see a light at the end of the tunnel. My feelings were hurt, my ambition was thwarted, my vision was lost. I needed someone in my corner to just listen to me and hear what I was feeling without judgments.
When we are down and have a hard time focusing on what is next, we need someone who will be supportive and loving; someone with a strong shoulder to cry on, if we need to cry. Sometimes all we need to do is talk it out. A good way to sort out our feelings is to tell someone what happened. In that communication is the solution. It also feels good to know that you have a committed listener.
Sometimes the solution comes later. It is better to act when you are not emotionally drained. Take your time and listen to your heart. The answer is there. “Everything always works out for the best.” That may be an old cliché but I have seen it happen over and over. What ever happens is the exact thing that we need to have happen so we can learn our lessons.
What I do is say thank you to the powers that be. I know that my journey includes several highs and lows and I accept each challenge graciously and joyfully.
So who is in your corner?

Fran
