CORNELIUS – A steady stream of shoppers stopped by the Know Your Farms stand at Kenton Place Saturday morning as it began a four-week trial selling produce, flowers, honey and other goods from local farms. The weekly Davidson Farmer’s Market will be open in downtown Davidson Saturday, Sept. 8, from 8 a.m. to noon, with fresh meats, produce and other goods. Here’s an update about Carrburritos, the Mexican taqueria coming to South Main Street in Davidson: Owners Doug and Edie Surratt of Davidson say they’re hoping to open in late November or early December in a newly subdivided space next to Wooden Stone Gallery.

As we reported in June, the Surratts are planning to open a Davidson branch of the popular eatery, which was founded in Carrboro in 1997. They’re taking over about 3,500 square feet of the building at 445 S. Main St. and plan indoor and patio seating for up to 90 people. Read the full story
