The weekly Davidson Farmer’s Market will be open in downtown Davidson Saturday, Sept. 8, from 8 a.m. to noon, with fresh meats, produce and other goods. Here’s an update about Carrburritos, the Mexican taqueria coming to South Main Street in Davidson: Owners Doug and Edie Surratt of Davidson say they’re hoping to open in late November or early December in a newly subdivided space next to Wooden Stone Gallery.

As we reported in June, the Surratts are planning to open a Davidson branch of the popular eatery, which was founded in Carrboro in 1997. They’re taking over about 3,500 square feet of the building at 445 S. Main St. and plan indoor and patio seating for up to 90 people. Read the full story

Just Baked Cupcakes and Coffee House on South Main Street in Cornelius has changed hands, and its previous owners are off on a new venture in Charleston. Meanwhile, The Black Eye’d Pea in Mooresville cut a ribbon this week, a little over a year after its opening.
