Davidson Farmer’s Market open next 2 weeks

[1]Davidson Farmer’s Market’s winter tailgate market is back this Saturday morning, Dec. 15, and market organizers say they’ve also decided to add a pre-Christmas market on Saturday, Dec. 22, as well.
Markets run 9am to noon, off Main and Jackson streets, next to Town Hall. This Saturday’s events will include the market’s first Holiday Silent Auction, in partnership with the Community School of Davidson. The market will be collecting hygiene products and conducting the auction to benefit A Child’s Place in Charlotte, which serves homeless children in Mecklenburg County schools.
Farmers and vendors this weekend will have fresh, homegrown and handmade goods, including: spinach, carrots, collards, beets, potatoes, green onions, squash, mushrooms, mustard greens, kale, lettuces, broccoli, breads, donuts, eggs, cheese, honey, beef, fish, chicken, soaps, lavender, dog treats and more.
Also, the market is giving away a holiday ornament in a drawing among Facebook users. Go to their Facebook page [2] and let them know if you’re coming to Market tomorrow. If you post by 5 p.m., you’ll be entered into the drawing to win a signature DFM ornament.
Meanwhile, come back next Saturday, Dec. 22. In response to requests from shoppers and farmers, the market has added this special pre-holiday session – same time and place as usual.
