CARRBURRITOS IN DAVIDSON
Davidson has already imported one restaurant from the Triangle area (Char-Grill), and now it’s about to get another. A local group plans to open a branch of the popular Carrboro eatery Carrburritos this fall on South Main Street.
The original Carrburritos is a popular tacqueria off Franklin Street in Carrboro, not far from UNC Chapel Hill. Davidson residents Doug and Edie Surratt are planning to open a second Carrburritos in Davidson sometime this fall. They’re planning to take over part of the Wooden Stone gallery on South Main Street. Plans call for about 90 seats, and an outdoor patio in front, facing South Main Street. (The outdoor patio and other external renovations will come up before the Design Review Board this Wednesday, June 20.)
Carrburritos was founded in 1997 by Gail and Bill Fairbanks (Gail is Ms. Surratt’s sister) and features burritos, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, tostadas, signature salsa and guacamole and specialty beef, chicken, pork and fresh fish.
Stay tuned for more about Carrburrito’s later this summer.
