Area restaurants are offering a variety of New Year’s Eve specials this Friday night, Dec. 31.
Here are a few we’ve heard about:
- Sabi Asian Bistro, off I-77 Exit 30, will celebrate the new year with a “Mock Midnight” at 8 p.m., including a big countdown, champaign toast for adults and a soft drink toast for kids. Reservations are requested for dining on New Year’s Eve, when they’ll be serving their regular adult and children’s menus.
- At Lake Norman Cottage, they’re already counting down to New Year’s Eve. The shop will host a New Year’s party, with food and drink. Price is $40 per person, including party hats and noisemakers. - T1 Tapas in Birkdale Village is offering a 3-course prix-fixe dinner on New Year’s Eve, $30 a person. Starts with Crispy Seasoned Calamari or Corn & Poblano Soup, continues with Seafood Paella or Pork Tenderloin with Apple Cranberry, and wraps up with a dessert. They’ll have drink specials, and offer a bottle of champagne with chocolate covered strawberries for $25. Balloon drop and champagne toast at midnight. - Flatiron Kitchen + Taphouse in Davidson will be offering a special menu on New Year’s Eve. Chef Tim Groody is still developing his menu, but the restaurant has started taking reservations. The price will be $45 per person or $80 per couple. The restaurant will be reservation only that night (Friday, Dec. 31), with no walk-ins, according to manager Chris Mallery. - Campania Cafe, 416 S. Main St. in South Main Square, will be open at 5 p.m. for dinner. They’ll be serving their regular trattoria menu with a complimentary glass of sparkling Italian prosecco.
