Taste of Charlotte this weekend in the center city

The 2010 Taste of Charlotte festival comes to downtown Charlotte this weekend, with more than 30 restaurants serving everything from tiramisu and BBQ sliders to “dragon puffs” and reuben bites.
The festival is on Tryon Street between Martin Luther King Boulevard and Sixth Street. Hours are Friday and Saturday 11 to 11, and Sunday 11 to 6.
It’s the 12th year for Taste of Charlotte, which includes games for kids, inflatables, cooking demonstrations, health screenings, music and vendors.
Live entertainment on the center stage at Trade and Tryon streets will include music, belly dancing and the Best of the Taste Awards presentations.
