Town Board OKs additional borrowing for cable

The Town Board Tuesday approved an amendment to Davidson’s cable TV interlocal agreement with Mooresville that will allow the two towns to borrow an additional $12.5 million for upgrades to the town-owned MI-Connection cable TV and internet system.

Davidson and Mooresville elected officials met Thursday, May 29, in Mooresville for an update on the town-owned MI-Connection cable system and a discussion of how to come up with an extra $12.5 million needed to complete a planned upgrade of the network.

Time Warner has received cable franchises from the state so it can legally serve new customers it has inherited in north Mecklenburg, Davidson and Mooresville, The Charlotte Observer reports this morning (Jan. 10).
