Cannon School broke ground on its new auditorium and performing arts center on June 4. CONCORD – More than 300 students, teachers and friends of Cannon School attended the groundbreaking celebration for the school’s new auditorium and performing arts center on Tueaday, June 4. The private school off Poplar Tent Road is in the midst of a planned $7 million Building Bright Futures Campaign, which will add arts, athletic and Middle School facilities for the school’s 925 junior kindergarten through 12th grade students.

The Davidson Green School will hold an information session on Tuesday, June 4, at 5:30pm at Davidson Public Library, 119 S. Main St., Davidson. It’s open to the public and will include information about the school’s curriculum, programs and enrollment. Meanwhile, the school has found a home: Organizers say they have a contract to buy 511 S.
