New Birth Charlotte Church in Huntersville will host a Community Town Hall Meeting with Heath Morrison, superintendent of Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, on Monday night, Feb. 11. Mr. Morrison will discuss goals and tasks for the school system.
The meeting runs from 6:30-8pm, at the church, 17001 New Birth Drive, off Sam Furr Road, Huntersville.

Kindergartners and first graders in one Davidson Elementary School classroom this holiday season learned about giving by creating and delivering greeting cards to the residents at The Pines at Davidson retirement community.
Meanwhile, registration begins soon for the spring session of Girls on the Run, a program aimed at elementary-aged girls. And CMS Superintendent Heath Morrison wants to have coffee with you.

New Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools superintendent Heath Morrison has reached the 100-day mark in his tenure, and on Monday outlined a series of goals that he says will move the school district forward. In a meeting at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center’s Belk Theater in Charlotte, Mr. Morrison said he’ll work to put more students in advanced classes, open more magnet schools and provide more coaching for teachers.
