As Earth Day 2013 approaches on Monday, April 22, our town is abuzz with “green events,” and perhaps a stronger-than-ever sense of environmental purpose. This weekend’s activities include Davidson Lands Conservancy’s “Toast the Earth” wine tasting and fundraiser, a West Side tree planting, the Davidson Farmer’s Market, and a series of sustainability-related activities at Saturday’s market organized by a new environmental group called Green Davidson. And there’s a challenge – they want you to walk or bike to the market. Read the full story
