Several public meetings are on the schedule this week. The Planning Board monthly meeting is tonight at Town Hall. On Tuesday, learn more about a regional bicycle plan for Lake Norman and put
in your two cents at Town Hall. And the Design Review Board examines some downtown signs and awnings Wednesday. It’s another big music weekend ahead, with a Concert on the Green featuring rock and roll with Sound Barrier. And Friday through Sunday in Union Grove, Iredell County, it’s the 85th Ole Time Fiddlers and Bluegrass Festival, which claims to be the oldest continuous festival of its kind.

Members of the Davidson Public Art Commission will give the Town Board an update Tuesday on plans to install the town’s first piece of public art – a sculpture titled “A Bouquet for Davidson” by artist Andy Dunnill – in front of the Davidson Post Office this spring.
The presentation, by commission member and Davidson College art history professor Shaw Smith, will include a short video recorded at Mr. Dunnill’s Greensboro studio that shows what the work will look like, the work in progress and the site.
