Eighth-graders at Woodlawn School this month made blankets to give to residents at the Brian Center, a health and rehabilitation center in Mooresville. The students visit the center monthly as part of their service learning curriculum. Bailey Middle School this week has set up a new sort of “Giving Tree” in support of the Habitat for Humanity Middle School Build Project. Through January, community members are invited to visit the tree and select an ornament, on which is listed an item needed and a suggested donation amount.
