“Ken and I have made exercising and staying healthy a priority”, says Stephanie Bloom of Davidson. “Both of our families battle obesity so we shift our schedules a lot to make it happen.”
Sometimes this means bringing Sam, 4, to the child watch at CrossFit in Davidson, on Depot Street.
Stephanie and Ken alternate morning or evening classes to ensure they work out daily and they have Charlie, 7 and Sam, 4, enrolled in at least one exercise activity. The boys love CrossFit Kids, so their parents take them as often as possible. Read the full story

CONCORD – As Erin Cobb continues her recovery after being shot by her ex-husband at her Davidson home in September, she and her family say her good fitness has been a major advantage. A 28-year-old banker who served a tour with the U.S. Marines in Iraq, Ms. Cobb was a regular practitioner of CrossFit – short, intense group workouts focusing on strength and cardiovascular conditioning.
On Saturday, she saw another benefit of CrossFit: Support from the close-knit community of CrossFitters whose dedication is not just to their training, but to one another. Read the full story
