Financial results at the town-owned MI-Connection Communications System continued to improve at the end of 2013, thanks to a 10.4 percent jump in revenues, and CEO David Auger said this week he expects the company to boost its contribution toward the company’s massive debt again next year.
That would be welcome news for elected officials in Davidson and Mooresville, which own the system, as they plan their budgets for the 2014-15 fiscal year that begins July 1. Auger didn’t offer an exact number, but told Davidson commissioners during a presentation Tuesday he expects the system will have enough money left after paying operating and capital expenses to increase its annual payment by about $600,000, which would put it at around $2.2 million.
