A pair of fund-raisers is on the calendar this weekend in Davidson. On Friday, June 19, it’s a South Main Square Block Party hosted by Amity & Bailey Trading Co., which will help support United Family Services. Then Saturday morning, June 20, Ada Jenkins Center hosts a 5k race and barbecue festival called “Fire” to celebrate its 10th anniversary and bring in badly-needed funds for its social service programs.

Kiwanis Club pancake breakfast aids Ada Jenkins

The Lake Norman Kiwanis Club will be holding its yearly Pancake Breakfast benefit on Saturday, March 21, from 7 to 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Huntersville, 119 North Old Stateville Road in downtown Huntersville.
Proceeds will benefit Davidson’s Ada Jenkins Center, a nonprofit organization that offers health, educational and social services to the less fortunate residents of the Lake Norman area. Read the full story
