Katrin Chiemeka scored a career-high 19 points, including 13 in the final 7:21, to lead Davidson to a 61-54 women’s basketball victory over Appalachian State Saturday afternoon in front of a season-high crowd of 1,271 at Belk Arena. Davidson College’s women’s and men’s basketball teams played a double-header on Monday night, and both came away with wins. The women beat Gardner Webb, 67-46, while the men pulled away in the middle of the game to beat Presbyterian, 68-54.
