W.A. Hough High School’s girls’ soccer team beat Green Hope High of Cary 2-1 Saturday in Raleigh to win the N.C. High School Athletic Association Division 4A state championship. The Huskies got two goals from Sarah Moon and played tough defense. ESPN had ranked Hough No. 2 in the country behind Green Hope, which was No. 1.

W.A. Hough High School’s baseball and soccer teams both won their NC High School Athletic Association playoff games Wednesday night, advancing closer to state championships. The girls’ soccer team, ranked No. 2 in the country, plays for the state title on Saturday, while the baseball team now is in the semifinals.
