A driver lost control of her SUV on Potts Street and ran into a utility pole shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday. The wreck knocked out power to some houses along the street.
The Chevy Blazer was driven by a Davidson woman. A witness said the crash split the pole. A utility crew arrived on the scene around 9:30 pm to begin repairs.
Police on the scene said the woman was reaching for a drink and lost control of the car. She was not injured.
No charges are expected in the incident.
